Christmas at the Church

We celebrated Christmas despite the icy conditions and had a Blue Christmas Service on December 4th when we put blue baubles on the yet in decorated Christmas tree to remember friends and relatives who have passed away.

The pupils from Bonar Bridge Primary School came down for their end of term Christmas service and we enjoyed their readings and Nativity scenes.

On Christmas Eve we had a watchnight service and a good crowd joined us to bring in Christmas Day with carols and readings.

Since October we have had a group enjoying singing sessions with John Brozovsky on Sunday afternoons. The group held a musical afternoon just after Christmas when again many people came in support and heard Carols and Christmas songs with a difference, a piece by John Rutter, Brother Heinrich’s Christmas with song, music and a narrative as will as a piece by PDQ Bach called Throw the Log on Uncle John. We had some members of choirs as well as beginners and it was a very enjoyable project. A big thanks to John Brozovsky who did a huge  amount of work in preparation
