Gladys moves across the Kyle of Sutherland

At the beginning of Harvest Festival, the Session Clerk, Colin Gilmour, announced that Mrs Gladys McCulloch was moving her church membership from Rosehall to Kincardine, Croick and Edderton.  She has recently moved house to Amat and the long journey round to Rosehall, particularly in bad weather, was starting to take its toll so, reluctantly after so many years, she decided the church at Ardgay would be easier to attend.  When Gladys and Alec came to Rosehall they very soon became involved in the church and both were inducted as elders in 1987.  On Alec’s retirement they moved to Elgin where he sadly died and so Gladys moved back to Rosehall, taking up her eldership again.  At present she is moderator of Sutherland Presbytery and spends much time on the road attending to her duties.  The congregation said farewell with a small presentation and Gladys replied that, in spite of her physical move, her heart would always be in Rosehall.  Thereafter the harvest service took place and several large boxes of requested food-stuffs have been taken down to the Blythswood Food Bank in Inverness.
