Mediterranean Night in Rosehall Village Hall
A most enjoyable Mediterranean Night was shared in Rosehall Village Hall recently when Friends of Rosehall church shared cooking duty with the Hall committee. 38 sat down at candle-lit tables to a delicious menu of hummus and crudities, tomato and mozzarella salad followed by chicken cachtorie with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and Spanish potatoes with tiramisu, baklava and Italian ice cream to finish. There were plenty of colourful clothes, a French waiter wielding the Italian pepper pot and background music to set the scene. After dinner there was a quiz on the various capital cities and then Jan Trumble got several people to their feet learning a salsa which caused a great deal of hilarity not just amongst the dancers. A raffle was held and £210 was raised for each of the good causes after a most enjoyable evening.
